On an individual agency basis, it is impossible to influence or change the insurance industry. By joining the NASPA, you have a direct conduit to grow AGENCY focused products and services and attend educational sessions to learn more effective ways to utilize the system’s functionality and exchange ideas among members. As the President of the NASPA Users Group, I can guarantee that NASPA is providing a “strong voice” on your behalf. We have a great working relationship with SIS. On the national level NASPA has been an integral participant in The Agents Council for Technology (ACT). We have helped reenergize the ACORD™ User Groups Information Exchange (AUGIE). Their goal is to have “real-time” transactional capabilities between agents and carriers throughout the industry.
As we approach 2007, Partner XE is almost out of the hanger and just about ready to take off. My agency is a BETA testing agent and my staff is eager to make the conversion. The testing is going well. Like anything new, it takes a little getting use to the new screens but the functionality far outweighs those minor problems. Because it can be accessed via the Internet, XE can be available from anywhere there is an internet connection. You might be at the office of a client, a coffee shop, an airport or even your residence. Being tied to the office will be a thing of the past. I realize golf courses do not have WiFi yet, but you never know!
